| Soooooo, HI! XD I have not posted here in... quite awhile. That sucks really... used to love Xanga... now I think maybe two of my friends still post here *sigh* A lot going on and a lot that has happened but I think I'll just stick with the nice and simple. I believe a good topic to jump start back into my blog is the mini vacation a friend and myself took to Salt Lake City this past weekend.
It starts off with us heading off about 9ish in the morning (which is later than I usually leave on my trips but I had a few stops to make so oh well) and finally getting into Salt Lake... I don't even know when. It was my first time driving there and not nearly as bad as I anticipated. Except, I did get lost a few times. I know Salt Lake fairly well, but never having driven myself, I found that I hadn't paid very close attention to some of the middle ground and did most of my driving by piecing together old memories. Oops. SO our first stop was the Gateway, but last time I had been there, parking was impossible; thus the reason why I parked like 10 blocks from the stupid mall and walked halfway there before taking the rail system. (would have taken it earlier but every time we stopped at a station the ticket booth was broken and we couldn't figure out where the free zone started >_< ) We had some fun there. Barnes and Noble was the first stop of course. I always stop at a bookstore first XD there for about two hours before decided to go and check into the hotel.
We got there right at traffic hour so figured I could wait an hour for that to die down before we went to get dinner. Of course, that's when the storms decided to roll in and our tv, which was satellite for some stupid reason, decided not to work. One semi boring hour later, we were down in Murray to eat a Red Lobster, which I have never tried before but my friend insisted I do so. And why Murray when there is definitely one in Salt Lake? Because the one in Murray is right next to a Borders. I consider Borders the God of bookstores... it's like heaven to me. Anyways, ate crab and lobster for the first time. Lobster was all right... could not stand the crab so I gave it to my friend who gobbled it all down. ^_^ Oh, we split the tab and then were going to split a big tip for our waiter (WHO WAS AMAZING) only I was going to do it on my card and she wanted to with cash. We decided to ask what he would prefer and I let her do the asking. However, instead of the original question, she asked "Would you prefer cash cuz we don't know how to split the tip between us?" Which in my mind said "We can't divide by two." I know that's not what she was saying but I couldn't help but start laughing. She did too, after I told why. We were fairly hyper after that and spent the remaining time afterward at Borders where I was finally able to buy the third season of Scrubs (YES) the only set I was missing X3 Then back to the hotel where I stayed up to one reading.
The next day was spent at Lagoon. ^-^ I did get lost but in my defense, the correct exit splits as soon as you take it and for some reason I did not see the giant amusement park directly to my right. I have noooo idea how I missed it, but it wasn't until my second attempt at the exit and my friend pointing it out that I saw it. Sometimes I just want to smack myself. All in all it was awesome. I felt kind of bad though cuz I'm terrified of heights and she loves roller coasters. I did try most all of them though ^_^ We were there for about seven hours, by which point we were exhausted... probably from walking the park and heat stroke *shrugs* Who knows? Ooooh, at one point we did see someone who looked almost exactly like David Tennat. Please tell me you know who that is... I'm going to hope people do but for those who don't it's the 10th Doctor on Doctor Who. So yes we thought he was hot in that sexy british way you sometimes stumble upon... or I guess in his case Scottish XD Doing my heritage proud. We "squeed" like fangirls and as soon as we got off the ride (we got on right after him so we got to watch for a while lol) we tried to "stalk" him but he had run off. *sigh* Oh well, still made for good times.
We decided to head off shortly after that and get something to eat. Was doing fine until we hit the storm and the interstate flooded. That was pretty freaky but we made it back all right. In fact, it wasn't until we were checking out of our hotel that I got into an accident. I backed... yes BACKED up into another vehicle. A suburban! How did I miss that??? Although... again in my defense, I was in a big@$$ durango and didn't take into account the size or blind spots like I should have been. It's days like that I miss my jeep. My perfect five year driving record... gone T_T No major damage though, and I did leave my contact info but nothing yet. Otherwise, we made it home in one piece. Just in time to help take care of my brother who somehow caught the flu. I swear if I get this *shakes fist*
Welpz, that's all I feel like sharing for now. Kassie, out. Here's to hoping someone on Xanga is still out there ^_~ | | |
| Wow..... My site sure is pink right now ^-^ I was planning on changing it after I saw how.... neon it was, but it's grown on me so it shall stay this way. I suppose it could be more pink, so there's one thing to be grateful for. My new background is Hanazakari No Kimi Tachi E (Hana-Kimi) (Japanese Liveaction, not the one from.... Taiwan? - Yay JDrama!). I believe I got the image from the 10th episode.... I think. I just love Nakatsu (not that I don't love Sano too ^-^ ) and all the scenes between him and Mizuki... *sigh* So yes, have an opportunity to watch it? Do so, it's hilarious ^___^ Not much going on now really, being forced to work full-time nearly 3 weeks now because the people I work have taken vacations right after each other. It's a good thing I love my job.... plus the money is nice. It's just hard with school.... but not really.... ^_^;; Finals will be coming up soon.....yay....... ^-~ Welpz, minna, have a good weekend and such. Jaane! p.s. I love JDrama ^_____________________________________________________________^ | | |

So.... if anyone still uses this place.... and if anyone remembers me still, Hiya ^_^ long time no see. I was just bored, reading old posts, decided to update everything, including my awesome new bg ^-^ Sorry, I'm kinda obsessed with Scrubs right now. Welpz...
